The Cooperative Office for Voluntary Organizations
(COVOL) is a non-profit, voluntary organization,
which has been working in Uganda since 1988.
COVOL develops and implements effective, low-cost
innovations which enhance the food and economic
security of rural households in Sub-Saharan
Africa through conservation and utilization
of indigenous biodiversity.
Based in Lira, northern Uganda, COVOL works
through community-based organisations, farming
groups and associations, linking rural stakeholders
to innovations and applied research to build
value chains for agricultural and natural products.
